YouTube Competition: Become a Vlogger and Win £300

Have a spare 15 minutes and a smart phone?

Want to share your career journey on our growing YouTube channel and be in with the chance of winning £300?

After the success of our Student Guest Blog Programme, we're excited to announce the launch of our Graduate YouTube Programme!

We're inviting you to take part in our new YouTube Graduate Takeover series and create a video sharing your graduate career path and an insight into what your role involves.

How to enter our vlogging competition:

1. Fill in the sign-up form at the bottom of this blog with a few of your details.

2. Subscribe to our YouTube channel.

3. Read through our prompt questions and filming guidelines. Feel free to send us a test video to check if your video meets our requirments.

4. We'll be in touch with the next steps!

Why should I take part in the YouTube competition?

With so many graduates unsure on what career to persue, your insights will be an invaluble resource and help give other students and graduates more of an idea as to the career path that they'd like to follow.

Your video will be published on our YouTube channel (with some of our popular uploads having as many as 20K views) and across our social channels, reaching our network of 50k + connections! This is a fantastic opportunity for thousands to learn from your tips, and with your video including a link to your LinkedIn profile, there's the potential for excellent networking opportunities.

Once your video has been published on our channel, you'll recieve a digital certificate and a LinkedIn badge to add to your profile, stating that you've taken part in our programme!

You'll receive a breakdown of how your video performed and its YouTube analytics rankings – giving you an insight into how YouTube metrics work.

We'll also share with you our top tips for producing engaging YouTube videos and how we promote our videos, giving you helpful marketing knowledge to use in your career and tips if you're looking to start your own YouTube channel!

How do I win the video competiton?

The winner of our £300 prize is the individual who gets the most views on their video!

When your video is published, we'll share your video across our socials channels, but to gain more traction, we encourage all entries to share their video with friends, family and wider network to further increase views and chances of winning!

Winners will be picked at the end of every quarter, our first winners will be picked in April, and the winner chosen at the end of June. So the sooner we feature your video, the sonner you can start racking up views!

What kind of video should I create?

We'd love you to talk about your graduate career journey, from what you studied at University, anything that helped you land your new role and what a 'day in your life' looks like in your job.

We've put together a list of prompt questions to help structure your video - you don't have to answer all the questions if you don't want to, and feel free to come up with your own additional questions!

Our video competition prompt questions

  • What is your name? Current job title and company you are working at?
  • What did you study at University? And did your degree help you in your role today?
