Give a Grad a Go speak at PinkNews Futures! 🏳‍🌈

Claire shares why she took part:

“I felt really honoured to be able to take part in PinkNews Future’s event and be on the panel for ‘Make Yourself Employable’. PinkNews are a fantastic digital publisher who are doing incredible things for the LGBT+ community and I felt really lucky to be able to take part.

It’s such a difficult time for anyone looking to find a job in this current climate and I really hope that with our support and advice we can ensure people feel empowered, confident and have the belief in themselves to really tackle the job hunt.”

Sam explains why he got involved in PinkNews Futures:

“Coming out day is in October so it’s very much something that’s in topic now and something I’ve been thinking about. Give a Grad a Go’s focus is to launch the careers of young people and graduates across the UK and other parts of the world.

In my opinion, the job and industry could seem perfect but you won’t love your job and reach your full potential if you don’t feel comfortable being who you are and being your true self in your workplace.

I was really happy to be involved in a panel which is all about helping people to be their true selves in the workplace and to feel personally happier but also so they can really thrive in their chosen field.

I’m also really happy to be working with PinkNews because they are a publication that I have personally read and followed for a number of years so it’s really exciting to be involved with them. They have such a big reach around the UK and have already helped so many people.”
