"Newrotimes connect students and industry by providing a platform for our members to share ideas and explore new concepts. Our mission is to aid students’ level of employability and fuel personal development by encouraging our members to participate in various opportunities and events held throughout the year.
At our core, we are a platform for members to share their thoughts on pertinent industry challenges and commercial awareness topics. Whilst our initial focus has been on engineering, finance, law and life science divisions publishing weekly articles and projects; the scope of Newrotimes has expanded significantly beyond this by offering our members an array of super-curricular opportunities.
This is best exemplified by our headline enterprise, Project Carone; a drone we financed and developed to conduct home deliveries to those unable to travel in the peak of the pandemic. The project gained media attention from outlets such as The Times; as well as other projects regarding education, innovative technologies and pressing current affairs achieving a consistent viewership of over 10,000 on our website.
Furthermore, we partnered with Warwick Incubator to allow our members to pitch their business ideas to investors at the shard; operate a mental health line in order to directly aid our members personal well-being and provide exclusive resources to members in the form CV and internship packs. Such initiatives epitomise the ethos at Newrotimes as we aim to facilitate growth for all our members. Within a year and amidst the Coronavirus pandemic we have been able to achieve a viewership of 120,000 on our website; a mailing list of 2,400 members and expand across 11 Russell group UK universities with the help of our ambassadors.
Our new webinar provides an exclusive opportunity to connect with both of our networks virtually. This poses an opportunity to hear from and ask questions to industry leaders, learn how to best succeed in the upcoming application season and to gain unique insights from a leading graduate recruitment agency with over 10 years experience and 4,000 successful placements to date.
We are certain that partnering with Give Grad a Go on our first event of the academic year will set the tone for a plethora of value-added opportunities for our members in the upcoming year."
