Job Description

In this Sales Account Management job in Swansea, you’ll work in the vibrant and dynamic sales team of this innovative FMCG company. You will manage existing large B2B client accounts, maintaining relationships and maximising on revenue. You will also contribute to their exciting journey of global expansion in identifying new business opportunities and winning new business accounts. You’ll lead on setting and implementing sales strategy from crafting brilliant e-commerce retail pages, impactful merchandising of retail stores, sales initiatives, trade events and everything in between. When developing your channels you’ll work closely with the wider team to identify the right approach to drive product awareness and sales conversion in retail. You’ll identify future consumer trends and market opportunities and implementing these with your customers. You’ll have a finger on the pulse for all your customers and channels - measuring the success of your initiatives and using the data to guide and ensure you’re delivering against your KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

In this Account Manager job in Swansea, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing existing B2B client accounts
  • 50% account management, 50% new business strategy and development
  • Building and maintaining dynamic and meaningful client relationships with the goal of driving revenue on accounts
  • Design and implement sales strategy to meet business goals and KPIs
  • Embark on new business opportunities in global markets, closing and winning new B2B business worldwide and in the UK
  • Working with the marketing and operations teams to forecast and plan initiatives to ensure the brand stands out
  • Measuring the success of initiatives and using data to inform future plans
  • Managing the 360 degree sales cycle and pipeline for new business activities
  • Working with a portfolio of client accounts
  • Working autonomously

Job Requirements

  • A degree in a business related discipline is ideal
  • 1-3 years’ experience in business development, consumer sales, or account management
  • Proven ability to manage business accounts and relationships
  • Ability to inspire and convince through demonstration and training
  • Skilled at online and how to build strong presence on retailer sites, merchandising and advertising
  • Understands physical retail and importance of merchandising instore
  • Successful account management experience - understands how to build a strong marketing based plan with key accounts to drive performance
  • A strong sales performer with the ability to covert leads and negotiate and close new deals
  • Creative thinker and problem solver
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strategic analysis skills
