In this Social Media Executive job, you will be joining a fast-growing and hugely successful PR Agency that specialises in the Global Gaming Industry. The agency is unique in the sense that it offers both consumer PR, as well as B2B, which is hugely valuable to its high-profile clients (who would otherwise need to hire two agencies). They are a remote team of passionate lifelong gamers who breathe enthusiasm into everything they do; truly understanding the language of the games industry and driving success for their clients.

This team covers PC, mobile, console, VR and blockchain, and a multitude of genres. With huge clients on their books such as Lilith, Ubisoft, Red Bull, Kalypso, Scopely, and Moonton; becoming finalists in the 2021 Sabre awards; and record growth throughout the past year, they are now looking to grow their Social Media team

Job description - Social Media Executive

In this Social Media Executive role, you will work on projects to drive the success of PR clients across the Gaming and Technology sectors, as they build their profiles across various social media channels. You’ll report to the Social Media Manager, utilising and developing your social skills in a successful and growing PR agency.

Key responsibilities - Social Media Executive

In this Social Media Executive job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Helping to take care of client social media channels, primarily LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook (but you may also work with Instagram, TikTok and YouTube)
  • Daily contact creation - this might be images, video, short content and long copy etc
  • Working directly with the Social Media Manager to support on a variety of social media projects
  • Supporting the wider team and the business with ad hoc project work
  • Assisting in management of the agencies own social media channels
  • Involvement in social media analysis and campaign reporting
  • Maintaining internal processes (Trello/Google Drive)
  • Creating regular reports
  • Staying on top of industry news and trends

Please note: This PR agency works remotely, however you will be required to travel to London for frequent meetings with your line manager (as well as quarterly company-wide meetings/socials) so you must be based in, or commutable to London

Job requirements - Social Media Executive

  • A 2.1 degree from university, ideally in a relevant subject area such as Communications, Media, Marketing, English, or Design (other subjects welcome!)
  • Some relevant social media experience such as an internship or for a university society
  • A demonstrable passion for games and the gaming industry is absolutely essential; every employee is a genuine gamer!
  • A genuine passion for working in social media long term
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with creative flair
  • A strategic mindset – an interest in SEO and digital marketing ideal
  • The confidence to communicate effectively with clients and the media
  • A good understanding of the media landscape and the role of a social media executive
  • A motivated and organised team player with the ability to work independently
