Job Description

In this Financial Controller job in London, you will be using a broad understanding of key business processes combined with excellent communication skills. The suitable candidate will be able to support the business in all areas involving finance and data, and help with performance management and decision support.

Key Responsibilities

In this Senior Finance job in London, your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver (via a 3rd party) excellent Financial accounting, tax and statutory reporting.
  • Ensure a simple but robust financial control framework is in place.
  • Develop and maintain a Management Reporting suite for the business, from daily, weekly KPIs to Monthly Management Accounts.
  • Develop and maintain an integrated forecasting process that feeds into the MRP (material requirements planning) as well as financial forecast for profit and cash.
  • Introduce a standard costing process, integrated within the Management Reporting, to allow the business to track and continuously improve wastage and support the MRP process.
  • Lead the order taking, production planning and ingredients purchasing processes (MRP) to ensure consistency, reliability and accuracy.
  • Provide expert support and advice to the business for data management.
  • Support the business with management of 3rd party support for areas such as IT, Legal and Insurance.

Job Requirements

  • Qualified ACA or CIMA
  • Have experience of a wide range of business processes from a finance/planning perspective
  • Be passionate about great quality, sustainable food and have a hands-on attitude.
  • Be a confident communicator with good interpersonal skills.
  • Have excellent Excel skills (ability to build intuitive reports, designing and managing Excel data-based models).
  • Beneficial but not essential is experience in the FMCG industry
