Job description - Research Associate

As a Research and Writing Associate, you will be responsible for collecting details of leading law firms’ recent work, via conducting interviews and discussions with relevant industry professionals, and researching written submissions.

The Research Team conducts in-depth interviews with senior executives and industry specialists to unearth critical insights, with plans to become a global producer and distributor of content for the investment industry.

This entry-level role is focused on targeting, sourcing, and screening relevant industry specialists, and scheduling interviews. Typically, driven and hard-working graduates will progress within their first 12 months to a role where you will take the lead on project execution.

Key responsibilities - Research Associate

• To gather details of law firms' recent work, through the collection of written submissions and interviews with senior-level lawyer
• To obtain opinions on the quality of law firms' work from their clients
• To assess and benchmark firms by practice area and country
• To write comprehensive, in-depth analysis of the leading law firms in certain key practice areas
• Ability to build a rapport/relationships with law firms at BD and partner level

Job requirements - Research Associate

• A degree from a top university
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written and in-person/on the phone
• Demonstrable skill in carrying out research with a logical approach
• A good understanding of the business world
• An interest in legal markets would be highly beneficial
• Diligent and proactive with a resourceful nature
• The ability to work well within a team, under pressure and with a positive attitude
• Ability to build relationships across the business with internal stakeholders
• Excellent organisational and planning skills
