Account Executive - Medical Communications
I am a Recruitment Consultant, so I talk to recent grads, try and elucidate what roles they would be best suited to and would enjoy most, and give them advice on their CV and applications.
My area of expertise
Through my time at Give A Grad A Go so far, I have had the opportunity to work on many roles in a variety of sectors. But because of my scientific background I enjoy working on the graduate jobs that we have on in the MedTech and HealthTech sectors, plus the odd bit of digital marketing too!Why I chose to work at Give A Grad A Go
I initially used Give A Grad A Go to help me find a job. I got to the final stages of lots of jobs, but nothing was quite the right fit for me. When I came in to talk to some of the Consultants here, one of them suggested that I come and interview here! I hadn’t considered graduate jobs in recruitment before, but upon careful consideration I thought that it would be an excellent chance for me to develop myself, as well as help out graduates who are going through exactly what I was.The worst job I've had
I wouldn't say that I have had any really terrible jobs thankfully! However there have certainly been some tough moments that have not been too much fun. The closest I have come to quitting is when I worked on a sheep farm in Australia. It was the middle of summer, about 40 degrees and we were working in the wool shed. Key responsibilities

- Building and maintaining relationships with clients
- Understanding the needs and objectives of the clients and healthcare professionals to translate these into strategic solutions
- Quickly and comprehensively understanding new therapy areas
- Working alongside the editorial team and driving projects to ensure they are delivered on time
- Handling budgets and managing project costs
- Organising meetings and events
So, what are we looking for?
- At least a 2.1 from a top university
- A degree in life science is essential
- A solid understanding and appreciation of digital, video and print production
- Experience liaising with clients and managing their expectations
- A strong work ethic, combined with intellectual curiosity and creativity
- Experience in educational media would be an ideal

- Exceptional relationship building skills
- Experience in data analysis and report writing
- Strong organizational skills, with an ability to effectively multi-task
- The ability to work independently, this is a remote role!
- Brilliant presentation skills – you’ll be working with stakeholders of all levels
- An adaptable and innovative character who is a quick learner
- Experience using Salesforce would be a plus!
