In this Operations Coordinator graduate job, you will be joining a fast-paced multi-national owner and operator of oil & chemical tankers. Based in London, they run a fleet of tankers focusing on the Crude, Dirty Petroleum Products (DPP) & Clean Petroleum Products (CPP), trading globally. They pride themselves on providing their clients with secure, efficient, cost-effective, and flexible transportation of the above petroleum products.

Key responsibilities - Operations Coordinator

In this Operations Coordinator job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking responsibility for vessel operations, including coordination of cargo movement
  • Regularly interacting with domestic and international clients ensuring all requirements are met
  • Maintaining daily contact with vessels and reporting vessel movements
  • Helping to identify and implement improvements in operations
  • Ensure accurate and regular information is provided to all parties, both external clients and internal departments.
  • Compile and distribute daily operations reports and participate in daily handover meetings
  • Various administrative duties, including sending daily updates to clients, documentation, data entry and clerical assistance

Job requirements - Operations Coordinator

  • At least a 2.1 from a top university
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Confidence to act autonomously and decisively in high pressured environments
  • Strong time management skills
  • Stellar working knowledge of Microsoft Office package
  • Ideally previous experience of working within the shipping and commodities world, but this is not a prerequisite
