Job description – Operations Analyst

As a Hedge Fund Operations Analyst, you will be working closely alongside the experienced Middle Office team offering help and support to deal with their quickly expanding client base. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate keen to gain an insight and experience into the middle office world of the hedge funds where you will get exposure to all element of the business and gain an in-depth knowledge of the complete investment life cycle.

Key responsibilities - Operations Analyst

In this Fund Operations job in London, your responsibilities will include:

  • Covering daily dealing of UCIT’s funds and more ‘traditional’ Hedge Fund structures with a wide and varying strategy coverage
  • Gaining exposure to a wide range of products and the complete transaction lifecycle
  • Helping with ongoing automation projects and process enhancement
  • Assisting with any trade settlement queries and corporate action processing
  • Providing daily positions and cash reconciliations
  • Supporting with trade reconciliation and client reporting
  • Various ad hoc duties.

Job requirements - Operations Analyst

  • At least a 2.1, ideally with a finance-related degree
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Stellar Excel skills, with basic macro knowledge being a bonus
  • Ideally, 6+ months experience in the finance sector and keen desire to forge a career within this field
  • A self-starter with the ability to work confidently and autonomously; an independent thinker
  • Strong analytical ability, with the confidence to review and draw conclusions from research
