Job description
In this Graduate Recruitment Consultant job, you will be joining the Professional Services arm worth £30million of the £100million in revenue for the business last year. The Trainee Consultant will initially complete a structured 6-month training course, covering an understanding of the recruitment sector, the UK public and private sector and also IT and PPM (project, programme management) lifecycles. This will ensure a strong foundation for a career in the recruitment sector and set up for success. You will be part of the expanding and fun culture of the Professional Services Team, one of the most successful teams supplying into the UK public sector for over 30 years. The Trainee Consultant will initially be responsible for resourcing activities into public and private sector and both contract and Permanent recruitment services.
Key responsibilities
In this Recruitment Consultant job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Qualifying through assessment of opportunities with Head of Resourcing
  • Engaging with team personnel to ensure a complete understanding of the requirement
  • Building comprehensive candidate networks
  • Carrying out searches on the Company database and on job boards to match suitable & available candidates to Client requirements/opportunities
  • Placing adverts on job boards and ensuring suitable candidates are transferred to Salesforce
  • Carrying out face to face & telephone interviews with prospective Candidates
  • Reviewing, preparing and formatting CVs to Company standard
  • Establishing knowledge of & relationships with Methods’ candidates
  • Increasing networking capability through social media
  • Negotiation – with clients / candidates / third parties

Job requirements
For this recruiter job, you will need:

  • Ideally a 2.1 degree from university
  • Ideally some experience or exposure of sales in the staffing, retail or hospitality industry, ideally in IT across the Private Sector
  • A strong team player with the ability to show initiative
  • Desire to help others become the best versions of themselves through identifying new carers and job opportunities.
  • Able to demonstrate resilience and drive to progress towards their career goals and to achieve PS business objectives.
  • Able to set objectives for themselves in line with the PS business objectives.
  • Ability to work with people at all levels, fostering positive relationships and delivering tailored contract and permanent professional service solutions.
