Company profile - Sustainability Tech Start-up

In this Marketing Executive job, you will be joining a revolutionary sustainability tech start-up. This mission-led sustainable business is transforming the way we shop online, helping users turn their sustainable intentions into action with their free-to-use, browser extension which connects online shoppers with planet-friendly alternatives to products. It’s simple: their dedicated team of experts scour the internet for brands that are committed to producing sustainable products; users of the extension select their sustainability priorities; (reducing waste, minimising emissions, supporting workers, protecting animals, and avoiding chemical usage) and when shopping online, users will be notified with more sustainable alternatives to the products they are browsing.

Founded in 2019, they have already built up partnerships with leading sustainable brands, and the product is now ready for public launch. The team are looking for a hungry and creative marketing graduate to join their founding team and increase engagement in the brand.

Key responsibilities - Marketing Executive

In this Marketing Executive job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working directly with the founding team, CEO, and Creative Director to develop marketing strategy which will support public launch and beyond
  • Strategise content plans and create engaging content across email, website and social
  • Take responsibility for scheduling, managing and growing social channels, growing communities
  • Develop KPIs for the business and report on these
  • Assist on development of campaign ideation on paid and organic campaigns
  • Website updates (homepage imagery, copy, blogs)
  • Influencer engagement and PR activity
  • Reporting on data and insights, including some analysis
  • Ad hoc support across the wider business as required

Job requirements - Marketing Executive

  • A bright and driven graduate. Marketing degrees are beneficial, but all degrees are welcome if you have a passion and knowledge for marketing
  • Previous experience or internships in marketing required
  • Experience in the start-up environment is highly beneficial
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Passionate and skilled in content writing and creative production
  • Working experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with content editing software (e.g. adobe suite) is beneficial
  • A demonstrable interest in sustainability
  • Someone who is excited about the fast-paced and changing nature of a start-up
  • A very autonomous worker who isn’t afraid to work independently and take on new challenges when required
