In this marketing role, you will be joining one of the world’s most vital industries. 90% of the world’s goods are transported by sea. These massive ships, some the length of 4 football fields, are all powered by fuel. Nearly $200bn of marine fuel is consumed per year across 53,000 vessels. Our client is a technology startup bringing transparency to the marine fuel space. By combining millions of data points, they democratise price information to level up a market often described as the ‘wild west’ of oil trading. Customer relationships are at the heart of this firm’s operations and with thousands of users, their app is fast becoming industry standard and clients include some of the largest shipping companies in the world.

Key Responsibilities - Marketing Executive

In this Marketing Executive role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing content for users including oil market updates, press releases, blog posts and short videos
  • Using marketing channels such as MailChimp, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, and paid sponsorships to proliferate advertising campaigns
  • Reporting directly to the founders of the business
  • Work closely with sales and engineering teams to coordinate marketing drives
  • Analyse advertising metrics to inform future marketing campaigns.

Job Requirements - Marketing Executive

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

  • 2:1 from University
  • Creating industry content (email campaigns, short videos, charts, blog posts, press releases, presentations etc).
  • Analysing user data from a CRM system (such as MixPanel & Zoho) to create cohorts and insights.
  • Monitoring growth metrics across different marketing campaigns.
  • Researching industry news and distilling them into short snippets.
  • Able to communicate clearly in English.
