The worst job I've had

I have been very fortunate, I've always enjoyed and loved all jobs I've held, from being a waiter in a tapas bar, working on a hog roast stall (by far the tastiest), a hand full of bar roles at local pubs or even working in the tea rooms at the National Trust. I've always chosen jobs which I love and enjoy that way it doesn't feel like I'm working (as hard).

Job description

In this Business Development Executive graduate job, you will be joining the newly formed sales team, with the aim of growing and maintaining potential relationships with new clients. You will be at the forefront of commercial efforts, where your hard-work, grit and hustle will have a direct impact on revenue. You will need to be determined, motivated and resilient as you will be qualifying inbound leads, engaging with prospective clients, carrying out demos of their product and guiding clients through the entire sales journey, from prospecting to account management. You will also be expected to take charge of your own lead generation campaigns, in order to introduce the innovative solutions that adds tangible value to clients.

Key responsibilities

In this Business Development Executive graduate job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Bringing on new business and signing up new clients to their platform
  • Handling inbound queries, qualifying and being the first point of contact via email and phone
  • Carrying out research into relevant markets and building up your own list of outbound relevant leads
  • Managing the lead pipeline/lead generation to ensure consistent prospective leads
  • Developing your pitch structure – being able to uncover prospective clients needs and introduce an innovative solution that adds tangible value
  • Carrying out products demonstrations in face to face meetings or via remote video meetings for their clients
  • This role develops into a full 360 Business Development role once you have settled into the role and proven your closing and account management skills

  • A highly driven graduate, ideally with a minimum degree result of a 2.1
  • Minimum 6 months’ experience in Business Development, Recruitment or a Sales-based role
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

Based in the UK, you will manage around 15-25 accounts in the German region, and will have a chance to travel and meet your clients as the role develops.

Key responsibilities

In this German Speaking Account Manager job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Owning a book of business comprising of approximately 25 high-value accounts
  • You will be accountable for the performance of your book and expected to meet retention targets as well as identify opportunities for growth
  • Reaching out thoughtfully and proactively to communicate best practices, drive adoption, communicate new feature releases and maintain an up to date partner health grade
  • Coaching your hotel partners on how to effectively use the platform to optimise online guest experience, increase direct bookings and revenue
  • Collecting customer feedback and communicating new product requirements
  • Partnering with the customer sales team to identify upsell opportunities and assisting in renewing and expanding customer contracts
  • Collaborating closely with the wider team including product, engineering and finance to resolve issues and provide proactive support and service
  • Attending and presenting at events and industry conferences to gain insights, build relationships, and raise personal and company profile
  • Maintaining accurate reporting of customer status in internal systems

So, what are we looking for?

  • A 2.1 from university
  • Fluent German & English
  • 1 years' experience working in a client-facing role (support, sales, account management, etc.)
  • Experience working with software and strong data analysis skills (including quantitative analysis) and proven critical thinking capability
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to speak with and present to customer C-Level
  • Experience within the hospitality industry would be beneficial

In this Graduate Strategy Analyst job, you will be joining the International Wholesale Division of the business, working closely with Strategic Directors to support business development and International Sales Team management activities. Key responsibilities

In this Graduate Strategy Analyst job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working in patronships with Strategic Directors to support in business development international sales team management activities
  • Running reports and analysing data
  • Providing data analysis of revenue reports
  • Assisting with communications to the sales team
  • Building presentations for exec briefings
  • Keeping customer briefings updated
  • Scanning the media for issues, news affecting their customers and industry updates
