Through my time at Give A Grad A Go so far, I have had the opportunity to work on many roles in a variety of sectors. But because of my scientific background I enjoy working on the graduate jobs that we have on in the MedTech and HealthTech sectors.

Why I chose to work at Give A Grad A Go

I initially used Give A Grad A Go to help me find a job. I got to the final stages of lots of jobs, but nothing was quite the right fit for me. When I came in to talk to some of the Consultants here, one of them suggested that I come and interview here! I hadn’t considered graduate jobs in recruitment before, but upon careful consideration I thought that it would be an excellent chance for me to develop myself, as well as help out graduates who are going through exactly what I was.

The worst job I've had

I wouldn't say that I have had any really terrible jobs thankfully! However there have certainly been some tough moments that have not been too much fun. The closest I have come to quitting is when I worked on a sheep farm in Australia. It was the middle of summer, about 40 degrees and we were working in the wool shed. The roof was corrugated iron and only made it hotter - after a few hours of hard physical work I had definitely had enough!

Job description

In this Business Development Executive graduate job, your aim will be to maximise revenues from conferences and events across the B2C portfolio. You will responsible for following up warm leads from interested parties and C-Suite executives and getting them to attend industry events. You will need to be both professional and personable, as you will then need to attend said events, where you’ll network and liaise with contacts that you have built up.

Key responsibilities

In this Business Development Executive job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Using Salesforce to identify best leads
  • Meeting or exceeding KPIs including call time and bookings
  • Practicing the agreed sales methodology
  • Attending project and sales meetings for the relevant events and giving feedback
  • Attend conferences when required for relevant events, these may include overseas destinations
  • Gain feedback at the event and post-event sales rebooking
  • Identify and communicate any potential opportunities for additional events or sponsorship
  • Maintaining customer information on Salesforce when relevant

Job requirements

  • A degree from a good university
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
  • A strong communicator, both written and over the phone
  • A proactive and confident approach
  • Willingness to learn and investigate new training and development courses to broaden knowledge
  • Someone who is well presented, confident and enthusiastic
