The worst job I've had

Job description

In this Office Manager job, you will become an integral part of this growing team, working across a number of different areas of the business to ensure the smooth running and operation of the London office. On a day-to-day basis, you will be assisting with the organisation of office as a whole – including being the internal voice, working through invoices and undertaking some administrative duties, as well as some ad hoc tasks like assisting HR and managing employee data. You’ll need to be organised, professional and a great multi-tasker – as you will be learning some important office-based skills as well as gaining invaluable operations experience within a vibrant startup team.

Key responsibilities

In this Office Manager job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the main point of contact for all visitors as well as managing external building partnerships e.g. liaising with the landlords/building management
  • Acting as the main point of contact for internal comms and events, as well as being the central point of contact for the 2019 office move
  • Supporting the day to day operations across the business
  • Managing improvement projects in the office
  • Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring the HR system is kept up to date with all employee data
  • Coordinating onboarding of new employees

  • A 2.1 degree from university
  • 2 years’ experience working in administration or office management
  • A real ‘people’ person with the ability to get on well with a variety of characters
