The worst job I've had

I spent one summer working as a Field Sports Camp Co-ordinator, putting on events across Suffolk for local kids who wanted to get active. It would have been a great job... if any kids turned up! Due to a mess up with the advertising, no one knew we were even running the camp.

Following a very successful 2018, this impressive, fast-growing business are looking to grow their team rapidly this year - and are searching for a Care Coordinator to join them.

Job description

In this Care Coordinator graduate job, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the right carers get to the right clients at the right time. Your primary role will be to match clients and carers, as well as making sure rotas are watertight, and responding to unexpected events to make sure clients are never left without great care. A supportive and calm manner together with excellent organisational and communication skills are vital in this role, as you will be central to the HR function within this growing MedTech business.

Key responsibilities

In this Care Coordinator graduate job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Matching our clients fantastic carers with their clients and making sure there is a great fit
  • Preparing weekly rotas
  • Liaise with customers to keep them informed of any changes and ensure our client continue to deliver a great service
  • Liaise with other health and care professionals to make sure we are providing the best possible care
  • Help make sure that accidents and incidents are recorded, reported and acted upon

Job requirements

  • Ideally 12 month's experience in HR / administration duties
  • A real interest in social care (any prior experience in care would be ideal!)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Reliable, well presented and calm under pressure
  • Comfort with working in a fast paced team environment
  • Experience in social care or healthcare is a plus but not essential
  • A full driving license is also a plus
