The worst job I've had

I have been very fortunate, I've always enjoyed and loved all jobs I've held, from being a waiter in a tapas bar, working on a hog roast stall (by far the tastiest), a hand full of bar roles at local pubs or even working in the tea rooms at the National Trust. I've always chosen jobs which I love and enjoy that way it doesn't feel like I'm working (as hard).

In this Client Services Manager job, you will be heading up the dynamic client success team. This is a highly communicative role, where you will be managing a portfolio of clients, relaying important information to teams across the business, and providing invaluable support. You will need to have a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience, because as the company grows you will be taking responsibility for junior team members’ professional growth and development.

Key responsibilities

In this Client Services Manager job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support to new and existing clients so that they can get the most out of the product
  • Managing a portfolio of clients and being a key point of client contact
  • You will be responsible helping to growing, train and manage your team
  • Working closely with the product team to prioritise feature requests
  • Working across teams, from engineering to sales, providing crucial input on getting bugs fixed and on the features their current users enjoy
  • Using your initiative to suggest improvements to internal support tools and processes
  • Answering calls and emails from new and existing customers
  • Attending internal training sessions, ensuring that you are fully equipped to handle any issue with their complex product
  • Making on-site client visits to ensure clients are making the most out of the product

So, what are we looking for?

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a client services role, ideally tech-focused
  • At least 1 years' management experience, ideally in a SaaS environment
  • Experience growing, training and managing a team
  • Flawless communication skills
  • Someone who is passionate about providing a high quality and consultative services to clients
  • A fast learner who is able to understand complex information
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A keen eye for detail and fantastic organisational skills are imperative
  • A willingness to go the extra mile when needed

  • Helping and advising clients and partners on products and customisation

  • A 2.1 or above in a technical degree
  • Some previous experience in a technical helpdesk role
