The worst job I've had

I have been very fortunate, I've always enjoyed and loved all jobs I've held, from being a waiter in a tapas bar, working on a hog roast stall (by far the tastiest), a hand full of bar roles at local pubs or even working in the tea rooms at the National Trust. I've always chosen jobs which I love and enjoy that way it doesn't feel like I'm working (as hard).

Key responsibilities

In this Client Services Manager job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support to new and existing clients so that they can get the most out of the product
  • Managing a portfolio of clients and being a key point of client contact
  • You will be responsible helping to growing, train and manage your team
  • Working closely with the product team to prioritise feature requests
  • Working across teams, from engineering to sales, providing crucial input on getting bugs fixed and on the features their current users enjoy
  • Using your initiative to suggest improvements to internal support tools and processes
  • Answering calls and emails from new and existing customers
  • Attending internal training sessions, ensuring that you are fully equipped to handle any issue with their complex product
  • Making on-site client visits to ensure clients are making the most out of the product

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a tech-focused client services role
  • At least 1 years' management experience, ideally in a SaaS environment
  • Experience growing, training and managing a team

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Requesting and comparing shipping quotes for international and domestic orders

So, what are we looking for?

  • A 2.1 degree from a top university, ideally in a STEM subject
  • An Excel whizz with experience compiling reports and models from various sources - VBA experience would be a huge plus!
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Previous experience in startup environments is preferable – a burning desire to learn all you can about building a brand in an exciting industry is essential!
  • Experience in managing external stakeholders is desirable
  • Experience and exposure to mainstream e-commerce applications (WooCommerce, Shopify, Shipstation, Pipedrive, Salesforce, PowerBI and Xero) and Order Management systems is desirable
