As a Key Account Manager, I work with some of Give A Grad A Go's bigger clients, managing relationships to make sure that we are meeting their requirements. Regular client interaction and liaising with our team internally ensures that the right graduates are being introduced to these companies at the right time.

My area of expertise

My focus sits within the Technology & Digital and Creative & Design industries. My client portfolio spans an array of exciting companies - from fast-growing tech startups, to fashion brands, digital agencies and FinTech companies.

Why I chose to work at Give A Grad A Go

I came to Give A Grad A Go as a graduate 4 years ago in the hope of finding a role within Marketing & Advertising or PR & Communications in London. It quickly became clear that what I was really looking for was a chance to communicate with these industries rather than work within them. I was really sold by the Give A Grad A Go culture and opportunity to develop quickly and build up an exciting portfolio of clients I could manage. There's nothing more rewarding than helping graduates find their dream job and helping a company build their teams with hard-working graduates.

The worst job I've had

I found myself working in the energy industry before I worked at Give A Grad A Go. It was really interesting to learn more about energy, but setting margins for huge corporate energy tenders felt a little bit out of my comfort zone!

You will be supporting their growing network of existing clients across the UK and EMEA, ensuring that all queries are answered efficiently and in a helpful and friendly manner. Key responsibilities

In this Account Executive graduate job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a range of training sessions and future opportunities to hold in-person training for London based clients
  • Providing support to a growing set of UK (and EMEA) clients so that they can get the most out of the product
  • Answering calls and emails from customers
  • Maintaining accurate records with clients using Salesforce
  • Using your initiative to suggest improvements to internal support tools and processes
  • Negotiating renewals and securing retention with your portfolio of clients
  • Working across teams, from engineering to sales, providing crucial input on getting bugs fixed and on the features their current users enjoy
  • Representing the company at company hosted and industry events
  • Building up brand loyalty with clients through helpful and proactive client interactions

Job requirements

  • Educated to degree level with a minimum 2.1 result
  • A real passion for tech, digital marketing and / or SEO
  • Ideally 1-2 years’ experience in a commercial role
  • Technical aptitude and the enthusiasm to learn the technical product inside out
  • A fast learner who is naturally curious and able to understand complex information
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A keen eye for detail and an enthusiasm to learn
  • Someone who is energised by personal interactions and is focused on pursuing a client facing career path
  • Fantastic organisational skills with a willingness to go the extra mile when needed
  • Any experience with CRM software is a plus!

Key responsibilities

In this Account Executive graduate job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working in a 1:1 partnership with Client Partners & Senior Client Partners
  • Driving sales activity and building sales funnels in order to hit monthly KPIs
  • Providing solutions from the product range that fit client requirements
  • Providing feedback on market trends and competitor activity
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records on Salesforce to manage the sales pipeline, quote and order entry, drive customer communication and enable activity reporting
  • Supporting the sales team in developing detailed account plans to establish forecasts of anticipated revenue
  • Appointing customer meetings in line with agreed activity targets
  • As experience in the role develops, you will independently manage a small number of accounts, as directed by the Line Manager

Job requirements

  • A minimum of a 2.1 from a top university
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry would be a huge advantage
  • A punchy, competitive and sparky individual who is keen to start their career in sales
  • Fantastic attention to detail – you will be working with very important data and need to ensure your eye for detail is tip-top
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a large, complex global account team
  • Exceptional communication skills and customer focus, with the ability to gain a thorough understanding of the customer needs
  • The ability to construct and deliver effective presentations both internally and externally
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or other comparable CRM applications
  • The desire to drive solution-related discussions with customers
