The worst job I've had

I have been very fortunate, I've always enjoyed and loved all jobs I've held, from being a waiter in a tapas bar, working on a hog roast stall (by far the tastiest), a hand full of bar roles at local pubs or even working in the tea rooms at the National Trust. I've always chosen jobs which I love and enjoy that way it doesn't feel like I'm working (as hard).

Job description

In this Account Executive graduate job, you will be joining the dynamic and ambitious account management team, where you’ll be responsible for building and developing strong relationships with clients. You will be actively involved in all aspects of client relationships including upselling and cross selling new services into managed services contracts, providing quotations for new customer requirements, and project managing services provider switchovers to ensure a seamless service. You will receive invaluable hands-on training, have the chance to progress quickly, and work closely with an experienced Account Manager to learn about the company’s products, services and how to support the account management process.

Key responsibilities

In this Account Executive graduate job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Building and sustaining strong relationships with existing clients
  • Maintaining accounts through regular contact, via telephone, email and meetings
  • Using your own initiative to think of new and innovative ways to increase revenue and profits from clients
  • Project management – such as managing and organising IT services provider switchovers
  • Coordinating IT support Analysts for clients
  • Managing quarterly business review process ensuring high customer satisfaction
  • Upselling and cross-selling new services
  • Working effectively within a team to meet and exceed challenging targets

  • Owning a book of business comprising of approximately 25 high-value accounts
  • You will be accountable for the performance of your book and expected to meet retention targets as well as identify opportunities for growth

So, what are we looking for?

  • A 2.1 from university
  • Fluent German & English
  • 1 years' experience working in a client-facing role (support, sales, account management, etc.)
  • Experience working with software and strong data analysis skills (including quantitative analysis) and proven critical thinking capability
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to speak with and present to customer C-Level
  • Experience within the hospitality industry would be beneficial
