Job description - Account Manager

By joining the Account Management function, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring business success. The company's Property Partners are at the heart of its business. As a Junior Account Manager, will be the first point of contact for an existing portfolio of hotels, cottages, and B&Bs across the UK, helping to improve its performance and conversion rates by building strong partnerships and learning everything there is to know about their beautiful accommodation. Your ultimate goal will be to grow your accounts and increase their revenue.

As a Graduate Account Manager, you will need to be able to negotiate effectively as well as have outstanding interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be a people person and enjoy the opportunity to meet and liaise with a variety of property owners, each with very unique needs!

Key responsibilities - Account Manager

In this Account Manager job in London, your responsibilities will include:

  • Building strong relationships with your designated portfolio of properties, to help improve their performance and conversion with the ultimate goal of driving higher revenue
  • Working with the property partners to put together an attractive holiday for customers, with exclusive packages, rates, and availability
  • Being the first point of contact for property partners, resolving all escalations of issues concerning their properties
  • Negotiating commission rates to improve margin and deliver commercial growth

  • Keeping up to date with competitor and industry activity to ensure you are constantly producing attractive and competitive offerings

  • Visiting properties to ensure standards are in line with the brand, and to improve B2B relationships

  • Providing data-driven marketing reports, both internally to key stakeholders in the business, and externally to property partners

  • Working closely with marketing to build out key advertising campaigns

Job requirements - Account Manager

  • A recent graduate from a relevant degree course

  • Ideally some experience as a travel agent or in a sales or product role

  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK

  • Experience in negotiation with key decision makers would be a bonus

  • An analytical approach, combined with strong commercial insight and attention to detail

  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentations skills via email, telephone, and face-to-face

  • Taking ownership in driving results and a strong desire to exceed targets

  • Effective prioritisation, initiative, time management, and self-motivation skills

  • Ideally, have your own car and driving license with a willingness to occasionally travel to hotels for face-to-face meetings
