Job description

In this HR Assistant graduate job, you will be reporting directly to the HR manager, playing a central role in supporting the company's recruitment, onboarding / offboarding, employee engagement and administration. You will need to have excellent organisational and prioritisation skills to work across a range of processes in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring high levels of accuracy at all times. You will also need exceptional communication skills as you will be liaising with senior staff, in addition to responding to queries from employees from across the business. This role will allow you insights in to working across a range of tasks within the HR function.

Key responsibilities

In this HR Assistant graduate job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Posting job adverts across various platforms and subsequently managing all hiring processes
  • Liaising with the IT provider and office coordinator to ensure new starter IT and desk set up
  • Coordinating to promote and organize activities for awareness days, Mental Health Awareness Week etc
  • Completing new starter forms
  • Booking training sessions and managing the calendar
  • Administration of engagement programs that are rolled out annually
  • Note taking in employee engagement meetings
  • Collating relevant documentation for onboarding and offboarding
  • Updating and maintaining the monthly payroll spreadsheet
  • Running monthly reports for sickness absence, lateness and all employee reports for analysis
  • Facilitating queries between the payroll provider and employees
  • Managing the return of IT equipment to be restored and archived

Job requirements

  • At least 1 year of HR experience
  • A minimum of a 2.1 degree from university
  • Familiarity with a people software and ATS
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Trustworthy and able to manage highly confidential information
  • A ‘can do’ and proactive self-starter attitude
  • A good sense of humour!
