Job Description - PR Account Manager

In this PR Account Manager job, you will be an integral member of the client teams and will be responsible for the administration and smooth running of all client programmes. This will involve a range of different duties, including event planning, liaising with journalists, and monitoring and logging media coverage. You’ll need to hit the ground running and come with 2 years' previous communications experience, ideally within the corporate sector, as you will be key to the successful running of this established PR consultancy.

Key Responsibilities - PR Account Manager

In this Account Management job in London, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting research for client projects
  • Writing succinct, on-message content in the form of press releases, client emails, by-lines, blogs and social media posts
  • Monitoring media coverage and social media channels to keep an eye on current trends within your clients' specialism
  • Building strong relationships with clients and media, maintaining client evaluation documents and managing team diaries
  • Conducting research and analysis to support client activity and making further recommendations based on key insights
  • Assisting in planning for events, including liaison with venues and suppliers
  • Liaising with journalists, meeting external stakeholders and identifying further coverage opportunities for your clients
  • Issuing press releases to the media on behalf of your clients

Job Requirements - PR Account Manager

  • A minimum of a 2.1 from a top university
  • 2 years+ experience in a PR or communications role
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • A keen interest in businesses and what makes them tick
  • Good knowledge and experience in using social media platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and Outlook
  • An enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude
  • Experience in using Gorkana, Factiva and Precise would be a bonus!
  • Proficiency in any foreign language would also be a plus
