Job description – Marketing Assistant

The client is now aiming to expand its events portfolio for charities as they are currently in a period of exponential growth. The role will involve supporting the organisation of events, promoting the events through multi-channel campaigns and creating actionable marketing plans. This role is fast-paced and requires excellent communications skills – you must be comfortable with this and show genuine interest in helping with charitable social change!

Key responsibilities – Marketing Assistant

In this Marketing Assistant role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the marketing plans of all charity digital events, including online workshops and webinars
  • Work individually and with other teams to deliver marketing tactics such as email marketing, social media, paid ads and PR
  • Create and proof all content for event marketing emails
  • Prepare post-event reports and presentations
  • Helping with marketing for fundraising
  • General support of event admin tasks
  • Research marketing and sector trends and feedback to improve future events
  • Conduct competitor analysis to identify potential opportunities

Job requirements - Marketing Assistant

  • 1 year experience in a similar role OR a minimum of a 2.1 degree, ideally within a Events/Marketing/Comms/English degree
  • Social impact driven – demonstrated interest of this
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A passion and a keen interest in charity work
  • You must be very organised with strong efficiency skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Proficiency in Canva, Survey Monkey and Zoom
  • Happy to handle administrative duties and attend events
