Sales Development Representative - Job description

In this Sales Executive role, you will join the Sales Team within the market-leading Housing Portfolio of the agency. You’ll share their passion for putting our customers first and you’ll have first-hand experience in helping them bring our values to life and lead their markets to a better future. Most of all you’ll join an innovative team who truly believe that Together We Succeed.

You’ll work closely with the Account Manager as part of the enthusiastic sales team, managing and expanding an existing client base, attaining high levels of new business and acting as a representative of the market-leading brands they work with. You’ll be selling their services to exciting new clients in the housing and property sector, offering advertising packages, events, and also their recruitment services – advertising of job opportunities within their clients business across leading job boards, gaining excellent traction for their clients.

Sales Development Representative - Key responsibilities

In this Sales job in London, your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the pitch team to ensure that all aspects for a successful pitch are in place – great communications skills
  • Selling advertising packages over the telephone, exceeding KPIs for call times
  • Introducing clients to recruitment services, advertising their vacancies across a range of job boards to gain exceptional traction
  • Generating new business opportunities and building good relationships with existing customers
  • Presenting data on client’s performance, recommending improvements and upselling to help reach revenue targets
  • Ensuring all contractual paperwork is completed accurately
  • Ensuring CRM system is kept up to date with full and accurate notes
  • Chasing advertising copy/info from clients as required
  • Opportunity to attend events

Sales Development Representative - Job requirements

  • Either someone who possesses previous experience in sales or recruitment, or a highly driven recent university graduate with a clear passion for a long-term career in sales
  • A genuine passion for or previous experience in Media and Events
  • An excellent communicator and relationship builder
  • Brilliant time management and ability to multi-task
  • The desire to work to targets in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong research skills and ability to keep up with industry trends
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical ability – particularly MS Excel
  • A genuine passion for a long-term career in Sales and Advertising and Events, and for a client-centric role
  • Relishes problem-solving and is a proactive self-starter
  • Energetic, determined, and proactive
  • Works well under pressure and can balance multiple workstreams
