Job description

In this Account Manager PR job for graduates, we are looking for an experienced and driven Account Manager to join the PR team. The ideal candidate is a media relations specialist, with a strong contact book of business, trade and finance journalists of international media. The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated success in crafting stories and pitches to generate coverage primarily through earned media, but also has an understanding of how stories combine with digital and online platforms.

Working directly with senior communications teams and C-suite spokespeople within client organizations, as well as account directors and account executives within the agency, you will be responsible for the oversight and high-quality delivery of all client deliverables and coordinating the day-to-day running of PR accounts, ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities

In this graduate PR role in London, your responsibilities will include:

Function as day-to-day client servicing lead across your accounts.
Manage client relationships to provide guidance, understand their business to an extremely high level, develop and execute highly effective PR and social campaigns, track campaign timelines and evaluate success of these campaigns.
Collaborate across teams to determine how to best meet your client’s business objectives and develop effective PR and marketing strategies
Provide guidance to junior staff on client accounts, motivating and managing them to achieve set objectives
Participate in business development activities such as new business

Job requirements

A 2.1 from a top university
Significant commercial experience within a client facing setting in PR, Comms, Marketing or similar
Leading support on public relations strategy and execution is essential
Track-record of running or being a key part of successful campaigns in EMEA is a requirement
Sound knowledge and interest in the financial and FinTech sectors is a distinct advantage.
Excellent media contact book for both national and trade
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
A high level of creativity and ability to think outside the box
The ability to travel when needed
