My role within Give A Grad A Go is as a Candidate Resourcer, which involves speaking to an array of graduates looking to kick-start their job hunt and find their ideal first job.
My area of expertise
As a Candidate Resourcer I don't specialise in any specific area within the company, however I am mostly drawn to the creative industries. In this Operations & Marketing Assistant graduate job, you will be taking on a diverse range of duties – including managing customer and community relations, assisting with the daily operations of the platform, creating and executing a customer engagement and implementing an effective social media strategy. This multi-faceted role will also require you to use communication skills, as you will work closely with the platforms’ customer base to ensure that all customers have an exceptional experience. You will need to be both a quick learner and a team player – as you’ll be working with several different teams, and across multiple channels, in order to contribute to the success and growth of the business.
Key responsibilities
In this Operations & Marketing Assistant job, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and executing a social media strategy across multiple channels
- Assisting in creating an effective customer engagement strategy using push notifications, in app messages, and email
- Collecting and responding to customer feedback and app store reviews
- Assisting with the daily operations of the platform from paying out customers, generating weekly reports and analysing customer behaviour
- Writing content for press releases, social media, copywriting, advertising and the website
- Creating FAQs and writing game rules
- Researching and keeping up to date with industry news, best practices and emerging technologies
- Maintaining, creating and establishing processes and procedures
- Generating new ideas to encourage further engagement, improve player retention and session time
So, what are we looking for?
- A 2.1 degree from a top university
- 6 months' experience in digital marketing
- Previous experience working in a tech startup
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills with an ability to draw and present qualitative conclusions from quantitative data
- Proactive and energetic approach to marketing and new technology
- Ability to work both independently and as a team
- Self-starter who can take initiative and come up with solutions, ideas, and suggestions for the platform
- An outgoing and social demeanour
