Recruitment was something I had already considered, but the moment I walked into Give A Grad A Go was when I realised it was the place for me. The office culture was buzzing, the people seemed great and management really made an effort to show that they liked me (hopefully they still do!)

The worst job I've had

I used to spend the gap between semesters at uni working at a school uniform shop. I really didn't enjoy retail and the shop was massively overrun with angry teenagers arguing with their parents... but you have to pay off the overdraft somehow!

Job description

In this Marketing Executive graduate job, you will be responsible for producing business to business (B2B) content for the company. You will proofread and edit content as well as managing responsibility for the company’s social media presence. You will need to be meticulous, adaptable, and highly creative – as you’ll be responsible for producing engaging content in line with their target market.

Key responsibilities

In this Marketing Executive graduate job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with a network of writers - reviewing / editing their content before posting on the blog
  • Writing heavy hitting long-form pieces based on quantitative data & research studies
  • Researching & writing topics that will accord with their target market
  • Writing, researching and posting social media friendly content on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Reading about the latest hot topics in HR technology, employer branding, and software
  • Learning about Google Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and how to get a site to the top of Google
  • Reaching out to newspapers, industry publications, universities, careers websites and job boards and persuading them to publish your content
  • Proof reading and editing all content, ensuring that all contributors and team members comply with company guidelines
  • Organising events
  • Ad hoc marketing tasks & research projects

So, what are we looking for?

  • At least a 2.1 from a Russell Group university
  • At least 1 years' experience in a content / copywriting role
  • Excellent writing and English language skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to take instruction
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and telephone communication
  • A team player who can support all internal departments and external stakeholders
