The worst job I've had

I have been very fortunate, I've always enjoyed and loved all jobs I've held, from being a waiter in a tapas bar, working on a hog roast stall (by far the tastiest), a hand full of bar roles at local pubs or even working in the tea rooms at the National Trust. I've always chosen jobs which I love and enjoy that way it doesn't feel like I'm working (as hard).

As they continue to grow, their plan is to deliver 10+ new sites across London over the next 5 years; delivering and improving high end nurseries and family clubs to working professionals.

Job description

In this Events & Marketing Coordinator graduate job, you will be joining a small but rapidly growing startup, who are looking to triple in size within the next year. You will become the central hub for their marketing team, helping to deliver a seamless branded online & offline experience for all their customers and prospects. You will be involved in all marketing aspects, from the organisation and delivery of their events programme and website editing, to supporting the CMO with print production and supporting the Sales & Marketing manager with new site launch campaigns and events. This role requires exceptional project management and organisational skills as you will be facilitating the workflow of the marketing department.

Key responsibilities

In this Events & Marketing Coordinator job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the CMO with print production and fulfilment and keeping the website up to date as the brand evolves
  • Liaising with site ops teams to make sure that all event bookings run smoothly, as well as overseeing evening and weekend events from time to time.
  • Supporting the Content Editor with the production and delivery of content for the monthly newsletters, including copy writing and image editing
  • Helping with the launch of both the online & offline presence sites, assisting with campaigns and events

Job requirements

  • A degree from a Russell Group university
  • A passion for organisation and project management, and the ability to juggle multiple projects
  • You will have been involved with multiple extra curricular activities while at university, from holding positions in societies to working alongside your degree spinning multiple plates
  • Confident holding all team members to account, chasing and reinforcing deadlines where necessary
  • Previous experience of working in Photoshop, with an eye for good design & imagery
  • Exceptional phone manner and email communications
  • Passionate and positive (you always see the glass half full!)
  • Adaptable and flexible with a desire to take on additional responsibility
