Job description

In this Business Development Executive job, you will be working with a wide range of clients to manage their accounts, secure attendance for events, upsell event space, and source new opportunities. Working within their education team, you will get the opportunity to liaise and build relationships with some of the biggest names in EdTech. With the opportunity to earn OTE of up to 45k, you will be responsible for the entire sales cycle, from lead to close.

Key responsibilities

In this Business Development Executive job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing your own sales pipeline
  • Speaking with prospects over the phone and via email
  • Managing the accounts of existing clients and securing re-bookings
  • Identifying new prospects and showing initiative by proactively reaching out to new clients
  • Building relationships and demonstrating a highly professional standard of communication
  • Demonstrating a detailed knowledge of clients’ business needs and industry knowledge throughout all stages of the process
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Assisting with on-site event preparation and execution of the event by working with the event team
  • Supporting the sales team with any ad-hoc duties

  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience working within a sales-based role
  • A 2.1 from a top university
  • An interest in education!
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
  • Confidence in liaising with stakeholders of various levels of seniority and across multiple industries

  • A motivated individual who enjoys working to targets and is motivated by success

Content management:

  • Writing and creating briefs for social media content, blog article content, email marketing content, and enhancements to website content Configuring and managing social media channels, marketing technology platforms such as Hubspot and Mailchimp

Campaign execution:

  • Gathering and consolidating reporting and analytics data to support decision-making processes
  • Managing day to day relationships with nominated freelancers

Client management:

  • Acting as the initial point of contact, managing and following up on regular update meetings with clients

  • At least 3-4 years’ of experience within a B2B marketing role or Account Management / Executive role at a B2B marketing agency
  • A minimum of a 2.1 degree from a good university

  • An understanding of inbound and digital marketing principles
  • Proven experience managing clients within a marketing function
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms and softwares such as MailChimp, HubSpot, Altitude and experience with CRM
