The worst job I've had

I spent one summer working as a Field Sports Camp Co-ordinator, putting on events across Suffolk for local kids who wanted to get active. It would have been a great job... if any kids turned up! Due to a mess up with the advertising, no one knew we were even running the camp.

Job description

In this Account Executive graduate job, you will be working with and supporting the account managers on key global accounts and the day-to-day account management. From day one, you will become a vital point of contact with senior clients and their creative and media agencies. You will be trained in several different areas – including campaign strategy / management, relationship building, and reporting. You will need to have some understanding of marketing and video technology, as you will be helping to create the actual campaigns, as well as ensuring that your clients are always kept well informed and in the loop.

Key responsibilities

In this Account Executive graduate job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Being the first point of contact for clients and their media / creative agencies
  • Working with the Creative Strategy team to provide strategic responses to client briefs
  • Getting stuck-in to new business pitches, developing a strong relationship with clients and their agencies, and growing within the current client base
  • Ensuring flawless execution of campaigns across social, CRM and display
  • Training clients and agencies on our self-serve platform

So, what we are looking for?

  • A 2.1 from a good university - a degree in marketing, business or something technical would be a plus, but is by no means essential
  • Some commercial experience in a relevant field (marketing tech / AdTech / media agency, or a data / technical role)
  • Strong knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets
  • An understanding of marketing technology (MarTech) and the digital industry as a whole
  • Fantastic organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Someone who is not afraid to get stuck in and provide support across the team
