Job Description

In this Full Stack Developer role in London and working remotely, you will be reporting directly to the Head of Engineering. You will be integral in managing the transition to an in-house software engineering team. You’ll have endless opportunities to develop and innovate, working to ensure that the platform is technically efficient and bug-free. You’ll be expected to keep up to date with the latest technologies, applying this to your work and making suggestions as you go. If you’re passionate about software development and want to take ownership of your work and development from day one – this is the role for you.

*Please note this role is remote with occasional travel to London*

Key Responsibilities

In this remote Software Engineering opportunity, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure that all aspects of the platform are working and that opinion of the platform’s technical efficiency is positive
  • Deliver features at a high velocity; they are on time and bug-free
  • Increase company value and investment growth as a result of software engineering improvements
  • Work collaboratively with engineering teammates - contributing to healthy code,
  • Take ownership of your work from day one, learning new technologies and applying these effectively to optimise the platform

Job Requirements

  • A 2.1 degree from a top university in Computer Science or a related field
  • Passionate about software development and learning new technologies
  • 6 months+ experience working in a software engineer role
  • Experience with Agile, React, Node.js, ElasticSearch, GraphQL and API integration
  • Worked previously on a high traffic application
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude towards self-development and company development
  • A self-starter who is not afraid of getting stuck in!
