Job Description

In this Junior Software Developer job in London, you will ensure that complex operations involving visual data can be performed smoothly through a web interface. This opening is focused on maximising our client’s platform's usability by introducing power-user features requiring back-end support. You will be working in a hyper modern tech stack, Backend is in Elixir (Erlang) with Phoenix, and Frontend, Vue.js. If you do not know Elixir you will have the opportunity to learn. You will be supported from day 1 surrounded by an experienced team of front and full stack developers providing on the job training and expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities in this Software Developer graduate job include:

  • Developing and maintaining clients core applications, which vary from high availability cloud solutions to embedded devices
  • Creating new applications and adding new features to existing ones
  • Developing new integration tools
  • Developing and promoting best practices in software development

Job requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science or similar to a high level of academic excellence
  • A proven interest in technology from a young age and strong portfolio of projects
  • Strong experience with functional programming. Elixir experience is secondary to familiarity with FP fundamentals, but it is very welcome!
  • A curious, scientific mind, coupled with an inquisitive nature to ask questions and constantly improve your knowledge
