In this Associate Product Manager job in London, you will be joining a revolutionary early-stage EdTech start-up. The brains behind this start-up have created a unique educations admissions platform that drastically reduces student drop-outs during the admissions process, and improves the understanding of why students drop out, in turn allowing further education colleges to increase their revenue. The software uses a “human-assisted” chatbot that connects to students through WhatsApp; their platform is an early intervention warning allowing their clients to stay ahead of problems and competitors. Having secured Seed funding with investors such as Bibliu, and EdTech unicorn, they are now looking for an Associate Product Manager to join the team

Job Description

In this Junior Product Manager role in London, you will help lead and execute product strategy for a completely unique pioneering AI software. You will be following a similar Associate Product Manager progression pathway adopted by huge companies like Google and Facebook, but within an early-stage start-up, meaning you’ll own product, gain invaluable exposure, and have a real impact on the business which is on their trajectory to become a unicorn business. You’ll be directly mentored by a team of world-class founders and advisors and champion a product which is totally shaking up the EdTech industry.

Key Responsibilities

In this Associate Product Manager job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide product direction and improve product strategy to accelerate company growth
  • Own a part of the product itself from the beginning
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Customer Success, and other teams to make innovative ideas become product realities
  • Get your hands dirty by participate in system configuration as an Admin
  • Liaise with the Marketing department to ensure proper positioning of the product
  • Lead data analysis to know the chatbot product inside and out, understanding how customers use the product and what they ask the product (what they type)
  • Client and Stakeholder management
  • Coordinate with the engineering department to deliver functional solutions
  • Conduct research to identify customer needs and market gaps

Job Requirements

  • A degree from university, an MBA is highly beneficial
  • Strong background in Sales or Business Development with growth mindset
  • Understanding of product development process
  • Previous experience working with product preferred
  • Entrepreneurs and business starters (even unsuccessful ones!) will do well in this role
  • Strong copywriting skills and understanding of writing for impact
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to create and manage complex system and people processes
  • Previous product development experience, even as a side project
  • Demonstrated leadership through organisations, projects, or other extra-curricular activities
  • Projects or interest areas that show a passion for technology, like building out ideas in a hackathon or developing a piece of software on the side
