Job description - Business Development Executive

As part of the Business Development Team, you will be responsible for developing new partnerships for their collaborative SaaS solutions to the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC), and Infrastructure sectors. The role will suit a business development professional with experience of software solution sales in a B2B arena and/or strong sector knowledge and the challenges that technology needs to address in the built environment. As a proven and experienced relationship builder, the ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and be a natural self-starter. We need vibrant individuals who can work with our customers to ensure our solutions deliver to their requirements leveraging their platform i.e., consultative selling!

Key responsibilities - Business Development Executive

In this Business Development Executive job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Close new business by prospecting and qualifying opportunities and securing demonstrations/meetings with key decision makers in enterprise accounts
  • Demonstrate their SaaS solution to prospective clients and position the benefits the solution will deliver to their business
  • Work in close collaboration with Senior Business Development Executives, proactively prospect and engage with strategically targeted users through social networks, email, phone and meetings to understand their business challenges, identify opportunities and generate qualified pipeline
  • Coordinate internal sales and solutions teams to conduct research and outreach campaigns on prospective leads
  • Consult with prospects to determine the best solutions for their specific needs, own the proposal process, and close the sale
  • Establish and maintain deep relationships with customer accounts to generate uplifts on renewals and upsells
  • Work with Salesforce and HubSpot to document sales activities with our internal sales team and channel partners
  • Travel to prospect and customer meetings as well as conferences and events!

Job requirements - Business Development Executive

  • Proven commercial sales experience in the B2B market with demonstrated success in solution sales in enterprise software or value-added consultancy service
  • Demonstrated track record developing new business relationships at all levels of enterprise organisations
  • Experience with contract or renewal sales while exceeding sales quotas
  • Understanding of the industry processes, practices and challenges that technology is addressing in the built environment i.e., design, construction, and real estate management sectors
  • Strong technical aptitude and commercial awareness including the ability to close sales with the most appropriate sales process
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with colleagues across the different teams within the global business
  • Professional experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and ideally Salesforce/HubSpot
