Job Description

In this Graduate Operations opportunity in London, you will be part of a best-in-class team who are on the frontline of fraud prevention (which costs the car insurance industry a whopping 3 billion per year!) This role is crucial, as you’ll be the first line of defence at spotting fraudulent customers when they come on cover. You will be using your keen detective skills to work out whether the customers you are reviewing are telling the truth. Reviewing customer documents makes up a large part of this and you’ll be provided with all the tools, tips and training you will need to spot fraudulent documents. You will also be interacting with the customer (via email) as part of the investigation process.

Key Responsibilities

In this Operations Research Executive graduate job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Mitigating risk to the company by identifying new and known fraud patterns and trends
  • Proactively spotting patterns in frustrations or hopes of customers and relaying feedback to the team
  • Analysing policies for discrepancies in policy data
  • Helping the company become more efficient by streamlining processes and introducing new technology
  • Analysing policies for discrepancies in policy data
  • Understanding, prioritising and escalating customers’ feedback and feature requests to the product team
  • Building out best-in-class processes
  • This is a brilliant starting point to enter the exciting world of Fraud - as you progress, there will be opportunities to learn more about spotting specific types of fraud (such as counter-terrorist screening, ghost broking and identity theft)

Job Requirements

  • A 1stclass degree from a top university
  • A problem-solver with a love for investigating ‘why things are the way they are’
  • Genuine interest in helping customers and preventing them from fraudsters!
  • Excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage your time efficiently
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ideally, some customer focussed experience
  • Fantastic communication skills, both written and spoken
  • A passion for learning, and continuously developing your skillset
