Job Description

In this exciting Account Manager job, you will be one of the first onboarded Account Managers and will have a pivotal impact on the business from day one. You will work as part of the wider Customer team and will be targeted with ensuring all existing clients have a seamless experience using the platform. You will be tasked with driving revenue and adding value across your client base. You must have the sales expertise to nurture relationships and retain customers, as well as providing opportunities to up-sell & cross-sell the exciting suite of products. You will be driven by consultative sales, enjoy working to targets and want to ensure your client base are getting the most from their partnership.

Key Responsibilities

In this Client Account Manager role, you can expect a jam-packed day to include the following duties, but not limited to:

  • Ensuring a smooth and positive transition for customers after their onboarding process
  • Having responsibility for the commercial success of your client base, including their renewals and cross-selling into new teams
  • Achieving and exceeding targets that relate to both retention and growth
  • Building and improving upon current partnerships – always seeking new ways of cross-selling
  • Working in collaboration with the wider Customer team to ensure the client base is retained and consequently grows in size
  • Identifying and converting growth opportunities – always ensuring this is done in an empathetic and consultative manner
  • Being proactive in identifying current and future stakeholders within existing accounts, building relationships with the client to identify opportunities for growth within their business.
  • Maintaining accurate CRM records in relation to renewal upsells and cross-sell opportunities, delivering cross-functional updates on their progress as required.
  • Providing ad-hoc support to colleagues as and when is requires – collaborative teamwork is everything here!

Job Requirements

  • Considerable commercial sales experience is important– you must have demonstrable experience of hitting or succeeding revenue targets
  • A passion for technology and FinTech
  • Ideally a 2.1 from a recognised University
  • Genuine excitement at the prospect of working in an entrepreneurial environment – you’ll be instrumental in defining best practice and are happy to be agile
  • Experience using a CS software (e.g: Gainsight, Planhat, ChurnZero) would be a real plus
  • Excellent stakeholder management of all levels
  • Professional, persistent and process driven
