In this Data Analyst position, you’ll be joining a company that’s an alternative to traditional Price Reporting Agency commodity publishing. They combine in-depth industry knowledge and leading technology to produce commercially attractive and high-quality energy and commodity pricing data.

The company was founded in order to provide fair access to key data. With offices in London, Houston, and Singapore they’re continuing to grow globally and are now looking for a Data Analyst to join their London team.

Job description – Data Analyst

In this Data Analyst position, you will work and report directly to the Data Director. You will learn and receive training on the basics of commodity trading and the price assessment process. You will work across both the technical and pricing teams to develop the assessment algorithms that underpin new and existing benchmarks.

You will also get the opportunity to build new tools and processes to support business growth. If you have knowledge of Python, are naturally data-driven, and are passionate about starting your career in Data, apply to this role today!

Key responsibilities – Data Analyst

In this Data Analyst job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Learn the basics of commodity trading and the price assessment process
  • Build new tools and processes to support the business in its growth
  • Implement price assessment algorithms
  • Developing Python scripts to transform data into other internal formats
  • Build and support processes to clean and normalise market data from their market sources
  • Working with the Pricing to support daily assessment processes

Job requirements - Data Analyst

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a top university
  • Fantastic attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills, VBA knowledge preferable!
  • Experience with Python
  • Teamworking skills
  • An interest in energy/oil markets
