Business Development Executive - FMCG
As a Key Account Manager, I work with graduates who are looking to break into the Banking & Finance or FinTech sphere. I do also work with the odd luxury travel client too - my favourite being the agency that planned Will and Kate's honeymoon!

Job description
In this Business Development Executive graduate job, you will be working closely with senior management to help manage enquiries from a seriously oversubscribed potential client base. You’ll be liaising with FMCG wholesalers far and wide to help establish lasting partnerships, as well as getting out and about, visiting vineyards to establish product quality and the client's vision. You will also propose ways in which you can maximise engagement with core suppliers, so you will need to be able to showcase strong communication skills and a level of autonomy in this role.
Key responsibilities
In this Business Development Executive graduate job, your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and developing links with future partners
- Managing the database and internal CRM – uploading client details as per company standard
- On-site visits – did someone say “vineyard in the South of France”?
- Helping to create engaging content, to send to clients as a follow up from initial onboarding
- Running engaging events and training sessions with your potential client database
- Establishing and maintaining valuable relationships with both independent clients and wholesalers
- Providing regular reports and reviews of sales and KPIs to the Head of Sales
- Representing the company at industry events
- Implementing and activating promotional plans across client accounts
- Developing a full understanding of existing accounts to maximise volume
- Supporting on administrative tasks as and when required
So, what are we looking for?
- A 2.1 degree from a recognised university – ideally with a BA in Business or English
- Excellent communication skills, you can write beautiful and personalised emails with a tight turn around
- Ability to work to targets, you will love the challenge of KPIs
- The ability to work autonomously and take part in out of office travel, including international trips
- A driven individual who is motivated to meet and exceed targets
- A ‘can do’ attitude
- A strong commercial acumen
- A thirst for knowledge - you will want to know everything about their customers and the market
