Job description - Junior Project Manager

In this Junior Project Manager role, you will support and work alongside the Project Managers to coordinate projects and help to ensure that projects and objectives are delivered on time, within scope, and to the agreed budget.

Support on up to 6 projects at any one time, juggling is a skill you need to possess. You will also provide administrative support across purchasing and procurement.

Key responsibilities - Junior Project Manager

In this Junior Project Manager opportunity in London, your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating agreed activities across our construction sites
  • Ensuring full visibility of activity, costs, and risks across all areas of the project
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation – ensuring Buildertrend are updated and maintained
  • Assisting the Project Manager to define the project scope, project activities, and dates, involving all relevant stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Coordinating the project activities by working with all stakeholders to enable flawless execution of the project
  • Successfully managing relationships with all internal and external-facing stakeholders
  • Monitoring and tracking project progress against the detailed project plan – identifying risk and supporting the Project Manager in identifying mitigation activities
  • Reporting project progress, status, costs, and risk in a regular and timely manner
  • Monitoring lead times and customer satisfaction

Job requirements - Junior Project Manager

For this Junior Project Manager role, you will need:

  • A Construction degree from university
  • A minimum of 6 months working in a construction environment - ( ideally 1 year)
  • Be extremely motivated with a diligent work ethic
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal, have to be confident on advising customers
  • Independence – able to work autonomously
  • Autonomous and entrepreneurial mindset: essential to take full ownership of goals, deadlines, and targets
  • Comfortable working with numbers and data
  • Hyper organised – capable of working on lots of projects simultaneously and managing them

For this Junior Project Manager role, it is also desirable for you to have:

  • Project management experience
  • Previous experience in small to medium size residential projects
  • ECS / CSCS cardholder
  • Project Management qualification
