In this Account Manager role in London, you will be joining an event and discovery platform for students, whose sole purpose/mission is to bring great content to students. You would be joining the Brand Team, they are responsible for building out opportunities with our clients that keep the platform at the heart, whilst also activating events on campus. The events on campus can include gigs, pop shops, club nights, spoken word and more traditional experiential marketing.

This Partnerships Manager role will work closely with them to upsell and cross-sell 360 integrated brand campaigns. Whilst media sales will be at the core, this role will allow you to work across multiple disciplines in a fast-paced fun environment. This Brand Manager position will suit a motivated and outgoing candidate who’s up for a challenge!

Job description - Account Manager - Media

Having acquired the full exclusive media rights at a number of Students’ Unions (Media Partners), this company is now looking for an Account Manager to help shape this area of the business. This Partnerships Executive role in London will be responsible for looking after all activity related to media sales that come in from brands and agencies, ensuring that a high quality of care is provided to clients and that the sales revenue is maximised. This will be achieved through optimising processes, building a database of clients from both existing and new brands and agencies.

This media job will also be creative and will be focused on building out creative solutions for our clients. There is a lot of collaboration internally to build out the concepts, and this role is key to building out any solution. This role will then also work closely with the delivery team to ensure the project is delivered online with the brief.

Key responsibilities - Account Manager - Media

In this Media Account Manager job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Communicating/managing media client base and managing booking of media partners
  • Providing regular feedback following an activity/event and a report for larger clients when required
  • Dealing with inbound enquiries regarding advertising opportunities at media partners
  • Support client to secure media options and upsell opportunities to maximise revenue
  • Qualifying inbound clients to establish if they require additional support
  • Build a database of client leads that can be filtered and managed to support outbound marketing
  • Allocate time each day to conduct outbound activity generating new business opportunities

Job requirements - Account Manager - Media

  • Preferably a 2.1 from a top university
  • Fantastic communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Comfortable working to targets and negotiating with clients
  • Ability to create and innovate!
  • Experience in media partnership is desirable!
  • Knowledge of Student Unions and their media
  • Experience with Hubspot or a similar CRM would be advantageous
