Job description - Media Executive

In this role you will be working with the Media and Campaign teams within the company, helping out with the direct mail and media side of the client's campaigns. This role will involve marketing, media, project management and strategic analysis of client campaigns and will be perfect for a young graduate looking to take their first steps in an analytical marketing role.

Key responsibilities - Media Executive

Direct Mail Campaigns:

  • To oversee and project manage the output process, making sure campaigns go out on time and to a high standard
  • To arrange and chair kick-off meetings with the Client Strategy team to understand who the campaign needs to go to
  • To write clear, detailed campaign briefs that meet best practice guidelines
  • To manage communication with the Client Strategy team and our clients separately, making sure all the details necessary to start the campaign has been finalised and agreed
  • To take responsibility for your own set of clients, delivering their required campaigns in our fast-paced environment

Media Team:

  • You will follow best practice guidelines and are confident in the use of core media planning tools and processes (e.g. billing sheet, Nielsen, Cold list processes, etc.)
  • You will aim to suggest new initiatives to the Head of Media that improve efficiency and ways of working (within and between teams)
  • You will ensure all deadlines are met and if any are at risk, this is raised in advance so work can be reallocated within the team
  • You will QC other members of the team’s work on a daily basis, ensuring high-quality output and identifying any training needs with the team lead
  • You will act as the very first point of contact for all client queries
  • You will manage communication with the client strategy team and our clients separately
  • You will ensure that schedules are shared to avoid any confusion
  • You will handle ad hoc requests and providing feedback results to the client

Job requirements - Media Executive

  • A minimum of 2.1 from university
  • An analytical degree (Maths, Psychology or Science-based) is desirable
  • Strong Excel skills – you will be using this a lot in your work
  • Strong numerical ability - you’ll need to be comfortable with numbers and able to spot trends and errors with sums quickly, with a logical mind and approach to problem-solving
  • A confident presenter who can articulate their ideas clearly to internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to handle many projects with tight deadlines
  • A keen interest in Marketing and Media
