Sales Associate - Job description

As part of the Junior Sales team, you will be responsible for supporting the new client acquisition process and work together with the sales reps to drive and create revenue. This Sales Associate role is a great opportunity to build a foundation in sales, develop business acumen, deepen the understanding of the sales process, and develop lead generation skills within a global Sales organisation. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in building a career within a global sales organisation or 1+ years of experience in a sales or sales support role.

Sales Associate - Key responsibilities

In this Graduate Business Development Executive opportunity in London, your tasks will involve:

  • Researching and gathering information on targeted companies or qualified leads, identifying appropriate contacts (name, phone, email), and potential hooks for sales opportunities
  • Prospecting and Scheduling Appointments by cold call, e-mail, LinkedIn, Bloomberg and other channels
  • Preparing content and assisting on client presentations and portal demos to prospective clients
  • Onboarding clients who agree to trial subscriptions and managing the usage and relationships of these clients
  • Coordinating appointments by preparing and distributing materials and managing logistics of client meetings

Sales Associate - Job requirements

  • Strong academic credentials
  • Proven experience in communicating effectively and building relationships quickly over the phone and face-to-face
  • Confidence in making outbound calls when needed and various other outreach methods
  • Excellent research and investigative abilities using the Internet and traditional media
  • Motivation to exceed personal commercial targets
  • You will thrive in a hands-on, high performing role with a focus on results

  • Open to feedback and continuous professional development

  • Polished and persuasive verbal and written communication
  • Successful track record managing multiple, simultaneous complex tasks and working in team environments
  • Full business proficiency in English, any additional languages are beneficial but not essential
