Job description – Business Development Executive

As a Business Development Executive, you’ll join our direct Sales team to qualify leads in a fast-paced and highly demanding working environment. In this role you will be required to focus on generating revenue, and unlocking industry-leading commission potential. You’ll take a multi-channel approach to outreach and never be shy to pick up the phone and learn how you can help businesses of any shape and size.

Given the business' recent success, this business is looking to double the headcount on the Sales team. They’re an employee-first organisation with a track record of training and retaining talent.

Key responsibilities - Business Development Executive

In this Business Development graduate job, your responsibilities will include:

  • Make outbound calls and occasionally deal with inbound queries by representing the company in a highly professional manner at all times
  • Identify and qualify Sales and marketing qualified leads that might have a need for finance
  • Go above and beyond to hit and exceed your KPIs to enable us to exceed growth targets
  • Follow up on lead generation campaigns and provide feedback on these campaigns to improve their effectiveness
  • Use Social Selling tools & techniques
  • Demonstrate high-level knowledge to communicate the value proposition in a precise and compelling way

Job requirements - Business Development Executive

  • Previous experience in a Sales and a competitive spirit, experience in financial Sales is a bonus
  • Confidence to thrive in a robust and ambitious team environment
  • Motivated and results-oriented and get excited about achieving targets
  • You are excited about working in the finance industry and with small business customers
  • You appreciate feedback and regularly look for ways to outdo yourself and your performance
  • Solid time management and multitasking skills
  • You shine in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • You can simplify and explain complex products in a way that customers with little experience in commercial financing can easily understand
