Job description - Client Account Manager

In this Account Manager job, you will join a dynamic and ambitious team, where you will be developing and managing relationships with the financial adviser firms based in the region of the UK assigned to your team. You'll play a pivotal role in implementing financial plans set out by financial advisors and their clients. Beyond this, you'll play a key role in training your client base on the services and products the business offers as well as taking ownership of the administration of your client's investment portfolios. You'll be the first point of contact for your client base, understanding their needs and maintaining the business's award-winning client service levels.

Key responsibilities - Client Account Manager

In this Client Relations job, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and managing relationships with the financial adviser firms based in the region of the UK assigned to your team
  • Giving feedback to Advisers and their clients to help them utilise the service in the best way for their business
  • Owning and managing relationships with a small number of key adviser firms
  • Understanding the different business models of the Adviser firms that you manage
  • Answering calls from adviser firms and their clients promptly, providing them with high-quality service.
  • Aiming to supply all the information needed on the first call

    efficiently and accurately
  • Portfolio administration
  • Carrying out instructions received to agreed time-scales
  • Prioritising and managing your workload throughout the day
  • Responding to queries from clients, advisers and colleagues in a timely manner
  • Quality checking your work and that of your colleagues to ensure we achieve the goal of “right first time”
  • Understanding the risks and governance requirements for the group and adhering to the controls in place, flagging and escalating risks and errors that you find
  • Looking for ways in which we can improve service, reduce errors and individual or team efficiency

Job requirements - Client Account Manager

  • Ideally, 18 months of experience in financial services
  • A university degree at 2:1 level or higher
  • Financial educational background is a plus
  • Knowledge and understanding of ISAs and Pensions
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Unit Trusts, OEICs, ETFs and equities
  • The ability to prioritise a varied workload - you will be confident managing and evaluating your time
  • Confident communicator, you enjoy speaking clients and a professional demeanor comes naturally
  • A can-do and positive attitude - you’re not fazed by commercial targets
  • Real team player, you’re inspired and engaged by collective success
