Marketing Assistant - Job description

In this Marketing Assistant job in London, you will play an integral part in the company’s growth. From the offset, you will benefit accelerated career growth as you will be provided with the opportunity to participate in practical training directly related to your role. In your role, you will report to the Head of Digital Marketing and will support the marketing communications and event organisation activities. You will be responsible for maintaining visibility with new and established businesses in technology and insurance. You will create, post and promote content on a range of media and channels including social (Linkedin and Twitter), email, video, their website, their event platform, Flickr and during live face-to-face events.

Marketing Assistant - Key responsibilities

In this Marketing Assistant opportunity in London, your responsibilities will include:

  • Writing and posting activities to the Linkedin page
  • Supporting the creation of regular email newsletters
  • Creating and liaising with designers for images, banners, reports etc
  • Updating website content
  • Tracking and reporting information on media engagement to customers
  • Co-ordinating guests, managing diaries and contributing to the release of their weekly podcast series
  • Driving the growth in the number of people engaged across a variety of channels
  • Supporting the creation and maintenance of event schedules and planning new activities
  • Co-ordinating preparation meetings with key speakers
  • Overseeing the running of digital events and live events
  • Working with the corporate member manager to onboard new corporate members

Marketing Assistant - Job requirements

  • A 2.1 BA or BSc from a top university in a communications discipline
  • Understanding and experience of posting to social media
  • Good eye for design, perhaps some experience of creating design or images
  • Ability to write well
  • Able to thrive under pressure
  • Organised, strong project management skills
  • Comfort and ability to understand and work with numbers and data
  • Interest in and understanding of technology

Marketing Assistant - Benefits of the job

  • A great starting salary of £24,000 - £28,000, depending on experience + discretionary bonus!
  • Flexible work location but once covid restrictions are lifted, you will be expected to be in London at least once per week
  • An annual £500 training budget to ensure your learning and development is continuous
