Job description

In this Systems Engineering job for experienced graduates, you will be working as part of the wider service desk, providing 2nd line software and hardware support to the company’s clients. You will be dealing with traders, investors and c-suite executives from day one and so you will be highly presentable, well-spoken and able to articulate yourself clearly. You’ll need to be technically-minded and possess first-rate problem-solving skills, as you will be working to resolve current technical issues, as well as working on company-wide procedures and reviewing plans for future releases.

Key responsibilities

In this Systems Support job in London, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical support to a range of clients
  • Troubleshooting 2nd line technical issues
  • Ensuring that all customers and clients are kept in the loop
  • Assisting with improving company documentation and procedures
  • Creating and updating test plans for new software and hardware releases
  • Remote management of business-critical products and service levels, desktop and server configuration

Job requirements

  • Previous commercial experience in a support role, preferably 2nd line Engineer Support
  • Educated to degree standard in a technical discipline, ideally in Computer Science or similar
  • An interest in technology is essential!
  • The desire to work for a global, market-leading company
  • Excellent customer service skills, including a professional and helpful telephone manner
  • An eagerness to learn and take on a challenge
  • Knowledge of ITIL Service Desk and incident management disciplines
