Job description - Account Manager

The Account Management team manages defined books of existing client business across multiple product offerings, and is responsible for retention and growth within these accounts, creating revenue opportunities and cross-selling additional products. The team is expected to diligently manage a pipeline of renewal and cross-sell opportunities, while always seeking to drive timely deal execution and excellent commercial outcomes.

As an Account Management Associate, you will work both reactively and proactively to provide exceptional customer service across a European client base, focusing on the credit and equities markets. You will play a vital role in the client management cycle, constantly engaging with end-users to build strong working relationships and trust between you and your client.

Key responsibilities - Account Manager

In this Financial Consultant opportunity in London, your tasks will involve:

  • You will identify potential users in the existing client base to drive client engagement. This includes relationship building and gathering feedback using phone calls, emails, Bloomberg, and face-to-face meetings.
  • You will help product-deliver to specific client subsets, generating interest in our transcripts and driving attendance to corporate events.
  • You will regularly meet with clients to pitch products and gather feedback, aiming to understand their research process and where you can fit in.
  • You will support clients by offering regular training and demo sessions on how to make the best possible use of the company’s services
  • You will support Associate VPs and VPs on renewals and cross-sell opportunities by working closely with them to execute on account plans to achieve strategic goals.
  • You will collaborate with internal stakeholders - legal, marketing, research, sales and product teams to ensure client requests are carried out effectively and quickly.
  • You will be on hand to respond to inbound calls and requests from clients related to our services.

Job requirements - Account Manager

  • Strong academic credentials
  • 6 months – 1 year experience in a client-facing role; it could be account management, recruitment, sales, or others
  • Interest in working with Private Equity clients
  • Motivation to exceed personal commercial targets
  • Individuals who will thrive in a hands-on, high performing role with a focus on results
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail, even under pressure
  • Open to feedback and continuous professional development
  • Polished and persuasive verbal and written communication
  • Successful track record managing multiple, simultaneous complex tasks and working in team environments
  • Full business proficiency in English, any additional languages are beneficial but not essential
