Job description

This Associate Director role in Investor Relations has come about as a result of increasing demand from companies for high-quality investor feedback from the perception study team within this firms Investor Advisory team. They are looking for an Associate Director with 4-5 years of client-facing experience to join the team. The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering our perception studies to a range of UK and European clients and providing ongoing IR advice to support our continuing growth.

Their perception studies deliver attributed insight to the Boards of client companies. The forensic examination of a company’s investment case, together with their messaging considerations, are a powerful tool in ensuring a company’s equity story remains effective from a valuation, corporate governance / ESG and M&A perspective. In addition, there will be opportunities for the successful candidate to be involved with clients of the wider Investor Advisory offering, such as advice around equity marketing, investor targeting, ESG and activism.

Key responsibilities

In this Associate Director role, you'll be involved in:

  • Support the senior members of the perception study team
  • Obtain investor and sell-side feedback
  • Qualitative interpretation/summaries of the feedback
  • Quantitative analysis/representation of the findings
  • Assist with the production of the completed perception studies and Board presentations
  • Develop marketing materials and support business development initiatives
  • Produce internal investor intelligence sector updates

Job requirements

  • At least a 2:1 degree from a leading university
  • Minimum 4-5 years capital markets experience gained in a client-facing role (buy-side / sell-side experience, Financial PR, corporate broking etc.)
  • Sound understanding of equity capital markets
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Good analytical and written communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail and the ability to prioritise a varied workload
